I think what I love best about this story is that the scientists involved have managed to capture one of the rats but they have never seen it alive...

Yup fraid so
they're just manips on other people's work... I don't do any actual drawing for this blog...
although I can email you the originals if you want to see just how different my source materials are...
this one not so, mostly colours and some small added details like shade.
